NYSC is the symbol of National Unity, NDLEA Commander, Idris says



" Its during my NYSC service that I understood what the unity of Nigeria means. "  says Alh.Mohammed Musbau Idris , the State Commander National Drug Law enforcement agency ( NDLEA) in Anambra State who is  on a familiarization visit to  NYSC Anambra Permanent Orientation Camp Umuawulu/ Mbaukwu Awka South LGA today.
Chronicling his experience during his NYSC service year over two decades ago, the top Narcotic expert who recently assumed office the State Commandership role of NDLEA in the State recently,  narrated that the NYSC played a pro
minent role in his understanding of issues like National Issues and National integration.  "Coming from a place where, where we don't normally come in contact with people of diverse cultures, we went to Camp and NYSC taught us tolerance,  and the need for National unity",recalled  Alh. Idris who also stated he was among the 13th batch of Nigerian youths who answered the clarion call.
Speaking on purpose of his visit, the Commander stated he was at the Orientation Camp to familiarize with State Coordinator and his team and to maintain the cordial relationship existing between the Scheme and the Command in the State. He also use the opportunity to commend the State Coordinator for his numerous achievements within his short period he has stayed in the state.
In his reactions, the NYSC Anambra State Coordinator and team leader , Mr. Kehinde Aremu-Cole appreciated Alh Idris and his team for the visit. He noted that the visit will deepen the relationship between the two agencies and urged the Commander to help in engendering unity among the Heads of Federal Agencies in the State.
On the involvement of Corps members in Anti-Drug Awareness creation,  Ar emu advocated for its expansion to extend from Secondary Schools to includes Primary schools. According to him, the use of illicit drugs has so permiated the society that Primary school pupils now indulge, promising to make available Corps members through Community development service  (CDS) for Anti Narcotic campaigns.
